Character seems floaty. I'd recommended playing with the gravity and jump force values to tighten it up.

is it just me, or does a game similar to this one exist? i swear i've seen the teleport thing you throw before

I think it's inspires by Celeste but i like the mechanics with the Shard

There is a game called Daggerhood that I grabbed for super cheap a long time ago where you throw your sword, and then can teleport to it at the press of a button.

I feel like the character movement is a bit slow, other than that, great concept, really like the art style.

continue your game !

Just played through Liked the colour palette found the game play to be smooth and intuitive well done :)

This is great! Core gameplay is super fun and reminds me a bit of Celeste.

very good game! the controls feel great

(+1)

It ended too early. I was having lots of fun.

Great mechanic and atmosphere! Would love to see more,  would be a great mobile experience!

Or switch

The mechanic is very nice; it reminds me of Dandara. Especially if the shard cannot be recalled, it would be nice to afford the player with a "laser guide" for better aiming, and to include a button with momentary input to disable movement during aiming so that the player can aim freely without moving. Additionally, I see some comments here with suggestions to improve movement "tightness". I included a video that I think might be useful to explore this idea. Great game jam!!!

Really good concept

Beautiful art and elegant controls, there's a lot of potential in this game.

(+1)

Good work!

(+1)

Awesome

(+1)

Pretty neat central mechanic. The level design and presentation are also solid. Lots of potential here.

(+1)

Would love to play more.

(+1)

Pretty cool base mechanics and nice pixel art & animations

(+1)

This is great.  I feels like a demo for a full game that I would love to play.  If it's not already planned, gamepad support and button mapping would be lovely.  Excellent job.

I like the mechanic.  Needs a way to remove the shard.  Many times I was throwing the shard blindly and hoping it would hit something.  making the screen size bigger would help with that.

(+1)

This game has, in my personal opinion a great potencial and idea, I would love to see it finished

(+1)

The art is great and I loved the soundtrack but I felt the game was a bit too slow and controls didn't feel tight enough.

(+1)

Love it. Wish I could move a little tighter and had more control about when my shard stopped, wish I could recall the shard if I had a bad throw (IE, into spikes).

damn this is a good game ur gonna win.

come  play my game 1d Shooter its well um intresting

Just Awesome Game my friend, loved the mechanics. I am really amazed to see so much development of levels and even good tutorial in 48 hours. All the best to your team.

I can see where you were trying to go with this game. But I think the shard mechanic could definitely use some tweaking. With the aiming and I suppose keeping the character under player control. But overall, the game is designed well. The artsyle is really pleasing and the sound design is great. Like Mark says, this has potensch.

(+1)

amazing game but I feel that lacks a way to remove the shard with this mechanic you can make the game more forgiving and make everything more smooth

(+1)

Pretty awesome! The last level (1-6) is quite difficult, but I did manage to beat it. Though I would have liked to be able to jump with X or arrow up. It would have also been nice to have mouse control in the main menu (just let me click them).

Really awesome game, im fond of its mechanics, would very much like to see more. controls are a tad floaty on ground, though it serves the game when in the air. Maybe a way to give us more time to aim when in movement could be nice, don't know.

(+1)

Well designed main mechanic, and beautiful sound and art design! The game feels so good to play I just wish it had some more challenging obstacles to test the skills of how well the player can use the main mechanic. By the end of the game I was looking for some more difficulty.

(+1)

This was an enjoyable game, and I wished there was more when it was over. The only complaint I'd have is the control layout felt a bit uncomfortable to use, but otherwise the art, gameplay, and the core design was awesome.

(+1)

The controls were a touch floaty, but with art this beautiful and a concept this cool, who cares?

(+1)

Very impressive visuals and concept, but I think the controls need to be tighter for this type of gameplay, the player was somewhat difficult to control.  Overall I really like it!

(+1)

The player just felt a little to slow imo. other than that i really liked teleporting around

(+1)

Extremely satisfying controls, catchy imagery. Would have liked to see further, as not to have shots into the dark.

A very original feeling idea for the platformer.

(+1)

Nice game, very inspiring. You made the pixel art and 2D animation your self?

(+2)

Thank you so much! and we are a team of two, Nic worked on programming and effects (such as the particles that come from the shard) and I (Brieyh'leai) worked on the pixel art, sound, and level design ( :

Cool.

(+1)

Fun game, I like what you are doing here

(+1)

Super fun to play and beautiful pixel art.

(+1)

Great game, the jumps and run feel a bit weird. I'd say that they are too floaty, but that just may be me. I like the core mechanic and the level design. The idea is also pretty great!

(+2)

Love the idea. Level design could be very interesting

(+1)

Really cool. Lovely visuals and good gameplay, great work for the jam! :)
